Terms of Service
Last updated: 04 September 2026
These terms govern use of the Gold WiFi platform, operated by Gold Enterprises. By creating a business account,
or by connecting to a WiFi network that runs on Gold WiFi, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Gold WiFi lets a business connect its own MikroTik router and internet connection to our platform, so it can sell
or grant WiFi access to its own customers through vouchers, a free trial, or direct mobile-money payment. Gold
Enterprises provides the software and payment-processing layer; the business owns and is responsible for its own
router, internet connection, and network.
2. Business accounts
- You must provide accurate information when registering, and keep your account credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account, including by any staff you add to it.
- You must have the right to connect the router(s) you add to your account, and to grant Gold Enterprises the
access needed to configure and operate the captive portal on them.
- A new business account starts inactive until the account owner verifies their email address; the account
activates automatically once verified, without needing separate approval from us.
3. Platform subscription and billing
- Voucher generation requires an active subscription or an active free trial. Every other part of the
dashboard, and every voucher already generated before your access lapsed, keeps working normally even if
your subscription expires — only generating new vouchers is paused.
- New, newly-verified businesses receive a one-time free trial period. It is granted once per business and is
not renewed or extended by re-verifying or re-registering.
- After the trial, subscription plans are billed monthly, six-monthly, or yearly at the price shown in your
dashboard at the time of payment. Prices are set in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and may change for future
billing periods; a price change never alters an amount you've already paid.
- Subscriptions are not billed automatically — you actively approve each payment (via a
mobile-money prompt) when you choose to renew. We do not store card or mobile-money credentials to charge you
without your action. We'll email you reminders as your access approaches its expiry date.
- Renewing before your current period ends adds the new period on top of your remaining time — you never lose
time you've already paid for by renewing early.
4. Payments to and from end-customers
If you enable direct payment collection, Gold Enterprises collects mobile-money payments from your customers on
your behalf, issues the voucher automatically once payment is confirmed, and credits the net amount (after our
platform commission) to your balance, which you can withdraw. This arrangement, and the applicable commission,
is set out in full in the payment-collection agreement you accept separately in your dashboard's payment
settings before enabling it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights;
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with voucher validation, payment verification, or subscription
access controls;
- Access or attempt to access another business's account, router, vouchers, or payment data;
- Use the platform to distribute malware, send unsolicited bulk messages, or abuse our infrastructure
(including automated abuse of the captive portal's voucher, trial, or payment endpoints); or
- Misrepresent your identity or your business when registering or accepting payments.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.
6. Your responsibilities as a business
- You are responsible for pricing, describing, and delivering the WiFi packages you sell — Gold Enterprises is
not a party to the sale between you and your customer beyond processing the payment and issuing access.
- You are responsible for complying with any local telecommunications, consumer-protection, tax, or business
licensing laws that apply to operating a WiFi hotspot business in your jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for the security of your own router credentials and network, beyond the encrypted
storage and connection we provide.
7. Service availability
We work to keep the platform reliable, including background safeguards that retry a payment confirmation or
reminder if a first attempt is delayed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we are not
responsible for outages caused by your own router, internet connection, power supply, or a third-party payment
provider.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gold Enterprises is not liable for indirect, incidental, or
consequential loss (including lost revenue or lost data) arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these
terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms,
for non-payment beyond a reasonable grace period, or where required by law. Financial and transaction records
are retained after termination as needed for accounting and legal obligations, as described in our
Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and
make a reasonable effort to notify business account holders by email of any significant change.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
